    Default data base restore

    zencart 1.3.9h
    url http://talkingwalls.ca/aline/index.php?main_page=

I did a backup of my data base and then proceeded to try to delete the Canada Post module. I had a great working site. I figured I could always restore if something went wrong. Well something did. It just went blank after taking out some of the module files.
I went to cpanel and through Mysql I tried to import my old data base. That didn't work, so I dropped all the tables and imported that way and that doesn't work.

I should say it partially works...the back end does. I've looked all over for hours and hours and everywhere it seems everone's problems is the opposite, the backend doesn't work but the front does. Well mine is just the opposite.

Is this a bug? Or am I just missing something easy...if it's out there I'd love to find it. Maybe I'm not searching for the right words??

Any debug files in your cache directory?

Your db backup doesn't backup your files (only your database, like your customers, orders, settings, products, etc). So if you deleted files as you said, you probably deleted files from the core code.

If your host do daily backups they might help you on that one doing a restore of your site prior to the "disaster". Or you can check/compare what are those files that you deleted towards the original files of Zen Cart code and maybe you might find your missing files.

    Have fun!

Yes Ideasgirl...you solved the problem. I realized (before I even got your answer...that's an important point for my self esteem :-)) that the problem was probably not with my data base and that there is no connection between it and my program files. What I did when I deleted the module is that I deleted a core file, thinking it was only one for the module. So I reinstalled them all and it worked. Then my body stopped shaking...I had no idea what I was going to do!! Thank you both for your prompt answers.
