New Sign up field for dual pricing?

Hey all,
First post on here..so let me start by thanking everyone. I visited these threads countless times to get help, and always found it.

But now I'm faced with a request that I cannot find the answer to.
Basically the client wants to start Wholesale..no problems there..but she would like the CUSTOMER to specify whether they want to sign up as a Wholesaler or not. (Like a check box maybe)

I have seen posts and help on adding extra fields on the sign up page, but this is a little different, as I need the fields to automatically set the Pricing Group for the account.

Any ideas?

You'd need custom coding for that. Has your client considered the fact that if wholesale prices are less than retail, every visitor will sign up as a wholesale customer ?

Hi Stevesh, Yeah I figured some custom coding would be involved.
I have told the client that, but these customers will only be able to buy in bulk, and not single items.

Basically I think she just doesn't want to manually set the pricing level for each customer.
But she will have to make do!
