Template customization - some basic questions

Hi All,

I've read through some FAQs and attempted some Google-fu, but figured I'd ask here.

I know the CSS is for a template... but where are the PHP files I can change.

For an example, here is what I've designed and what I'm trying to "trim down" zencart into looking like:

Currently the zencart is installed here: http://nerdi.net/cdv/zencart

And is at it's default look. I'm trying to make it look like the top link. Can anyone help? I'd be willing to pay for some advice...

ok first step is to head over to:

http://(sorry, site offline)/

and pick n download a template that is roughly the style and layout you are after.
Install the template to your site,

Then you can play with the css and template files ( the php files you asked about) to achieve the look you want
Then come back here and ask questions to your hearts content, there are plenty of people here to help you with the fine details as you go

Sounds good, thank you very much for the response. Playing around with a bit more and starting to get the hang out of... I just can't seem to find the "main" index file that has the framework of the page. Don't need sponsor/have you seen/language/etc boxes.

ps I would suggest you install a custom template to play with and leave the classic template alone as it comes in handy later for testing purposes
