price/donation chosen by user

Hi,

I am trying to set-up a donation site for a non-profit org, I've set a single "product", is there a way to have the "price"/amount to be set by the user?
Being a donation, would be good to let the user decide how much to donate.

There are a number of threads elsewhere on this forum that cover this in more detail but, as an overview, it's done by creating a product with a price of $1. Then creating a specific product info template for that product that hides the price, but leaves the quantity box. Visitors can then choose how much of the $1 product they "buy".
