Site missing pics and formatting outside network

I was able to successfully install a working demo cart on local server. When viewing this cart from inside my network (on my subnet any machine) the cart works correctly.

My problem is that if I try to view cart outside my WAN connection (from home) site takes forever, images wont load and formatting is lost. I do get a html version of site with placeholders for images.

I am running a non-database (static) php site successfully from same apache server in a htdocs/www subdiretory this works inside and outside of my local netowrk (images and everything) your can view this @ www.amsdemexico.com.mx.

I am hosting behing firewall using NAT translation to get to server. dont forget I can serve a php site. It just wont do the cart.

The HTTP_SERVER value you set in your configure.php files (as supplied during installation), is apparently pointing to a servername that's not understood from outside your home network.

You can see proof of this by looking at the raw HTML source and seeing the <base href=xxxxxx> value.

Simply update your configure.php files to use a HTTP_SERVER name that works from both inside and outside.

When you view from outside look at the view source and see what the "base ref" is

Your ststic site is very much like a html site

The speed for ZenCart will probably not improve due to whatever your up link speed is on the lan/wan
