html edit does not work

I have install v1.3.9g and only use the classic template which came with the installation.

I try to change some writing on the front page using HTMLarea but when I save and review, the page shows the html code. I have seen other people talk of a different html editor. where do i find it and how do i install it.

Also...
I am trying to find my way around so many files and as a newby, it is very frustrating to look through the many forum post hoping to find an aswer to my problems.

Is there a good manual or tutorial for help? Using zencart tutorials is not good if i do not know what I am looking for.

Also..
the tutorials mentions stuff being in capital letters, but in which file? in which folder? I am lost.

Upgrade to 1.3.9h

1) thats a known bug with 1.3.9g, the best solution is to upgrade to 1.3.9h, there is a hack to fix it, but the upgrade to 1.3.9h is probably easier as you only have to replace changed files from 1.3.9g to 1.3.9h
2) Unless you are more specific we can't explain things, what is it you are trying to do

The site is new with nothing in it so to install again is not a problem.

All I am trying to do is find my way around inside zen cart. I am new and do n ot know which files to edit. So again I as this questions...

Most specify the file and path - -You would need to be more specific
