Same order status updated twice with different comments

from Admin->Customers->Orders,
if i choose order status "Processing" and click on "update", the status will be updated successfully,
if i choose "Processing" again and input the comments, it will shows:
Warning: Nothing to change. The order was not updated.

i need use the same order status twice with the different comments each time, is it possible? any good idea?

This sounds vaguely like an old bug - are you running 1.3.9?

In v1.3.9h, I tested what you are trying to do, and can set from Pending ... to Processing (no comments) ... to Processing (with comments) and it works fine ...

Do you have any kind of customization on your Orders?
