Is it possible to downgrade your zen cart 1.3.9 to 1.3.8
simply in order to use a mod that is meant for the older version?

No, and that would be a BAD move anyway, since v1.3.8 has a well known serious security bug in it that hackers love to mess with.
It would be far more appropriate to use a mod built for the current version, or arrange to have it updated to suit the current version..

What mod is it, and do you know that it will not work for v1.3.9? Most v1.3.8 mods will work for v1.3.9.
OK, look at the file structure of the mod, and compare it to the changelog in the v1.3.9h and earlier docs folder. If none of the mod files are in the changelogs, you should be good to go. If they are, you can compare the changes and most likely merge them. Post in the mod support thread (even though the author has not been there for a long time) and someone who uses it may be able to help or advise further.Last edited by gjh42; 21 Jun 2011 at 06:18 AM.

It creates an upload area for additional image to the product.
I installed it to zen cart 1.2.9
but it will not manifest. if it will it will be the answer to my prayer
So i am assuming it needs updating.

It probably will work with v1.3.9 fine. You could install it and see.
If you wish to hire someone to help with your website, you can post a request for bids at www.zen-cart.com/helpwanted . Be sure to evaluate each potential candidate just as you would any other vendor you're hiring to work for you, just like a plumber or builder or mechanic..

Apparently some people have installed the mod easily, and some have been unable to get it to work. Read the support thread for details.
