Page 2, 3 & 4 SiteMap/URL Change

Hi

I have managed to change the name of the pages using the NAVBAR TITLE etc.. which is easy enough

define('NAVBAR_TITLE', 'Page 2');

But i now need to change their URL names so that

For Example :- Page_2.html to "About_Us.html"

and also the Site Map updates the names to something more meaningful other than "page 2"????

Please help

If your URLs have .html on the end then you must be using a URL rewriting add-on. Best to consult the support thread for the specific add-on you're using to get the answer to this question.

This is what's happening at the moment.

"http://www.iss-store.co.uk/catalog/page_2.html"

However i need to change this to show about_us.html, and in turn the sitemap will show About Us rather than Page 2

Zen Cart URLs don't end ".html".

The Zen Cart URL for the page you quoted would be:
"http://www.iss-store.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=page_2"

You must be re-writing the URLs somehow to get the results that you're seeing.

I must be totally amazing then as ever single page on our site is .html ?

We dont have an add on that does this !

I am using version 1.3.9 and I am having a similar problem. It is not a html issue.

I want to change the name of page 2 to Size Chart and have done so in the
define('NAVBAR_TITLE', 'Page 2');as stated in the FAQ but the name in the side box remains as Page 2.

I modified the page_2.php from

define('NAVBAR_TITLE', 'Page ?');
define('HEADING_TITLE', 'Page ?');

I changed this to

define('NAVBAR_TITLE', 'Size Chart');
define('HEADING_TITLE', 'Size Chart');

I am not sure if I am to change both or not but did so as that is the way I read it.

The link in the box still reads "Page 2"

I hope you can help me with this.

thank you for your tip that is good information as I do need to change one of the category titles.

However it is the URL link page 2 and page 3 and page 4 names I want to change not the category title.

As stated above I did try to change the php file as follows

define('NAVBAR_TITLE', 'Page ?');
define('HEADING_TITLE', 'Page ?');

I changed this to

define('NAVBAR_TITLE', 'Size Chart');
define('HEADING_TITLE', 'Size Chart');

but it still reads page 2 in the more info category box..
