Default what folder do I upload edited file

I made edits to the Shopping Cart Contents page: includes/languages/english/shopping_cart.php and have tried uploading it to my custom folders for override but I'm evidently not getting it to the right folder because the changed page is not showing up. I've tried a couple different paths with no success. Can someone point me in the right direction?

In that case, it would go to the includes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE_NAME folder.

A simple guide to bear in mind, regarding whether an OVER-RIDE directory can exist (or not), for your CUSTOM template, is to look for occurrences of "classic" folders.

Where you see a "classic" folder, you should create (at the same directory level) a folder with the name of your custom template.

Then, any CORE FILE (at that same level), that you later edit, will be saved / moved into your custom folder.

Thanks for the information to watch for on overrides...I've been trying to figure out some pattern so that helps.
