    Default Adding single side box

    Hi,

Is there a way to add sideboxes without having access to the sites template folder? I presume the template folder is the hard copy that (at the moment) our developer posesses.

I ask this as we currently have a company developing the site but i would like to add a sidebox using an image i have created.

    Thanks,

If you want to create a new sidebox (using the Blank Sidebox mod) you'll need FTP access to the files on the server.

You could use one of the banner sideboxes, which are accessible from the Zencart admin area.

I have added the image to the Tools> Banner Manager. Although i dont think this is right thing. What do you mean by accessible through the Zencart admin area?

I have added it to Banner Manager but it does not appear on the Tools > Layout Boxes Controller page. I think i need to add the file to there somehow but as you say this must reuire FTP access. How does the Banner Manager work? Is this more for pop-ups etc or does this involve adding permanent side boxes?

The banner sideboxes are already in Layout Boxes Controller - they're called banner_box, banner_box2 and banner_box_all. You'll need FTP access to upload the image to the server, though.
