I've gone through the many many posts on this problem, and looked into the possible solutions but am stuck...

When I create the user, it is fine, but then I can't log back in using the same user.

I'm using fairly vanilla Zen v1.3.9d with only a few template changes, never upgraded, and I haven't touched the often-mentioned login files:
tpl_timeout_default.php
tpl_login_default.php

My Provider recently did some kind of an upgrade to the back end system, and it hasn't worked since.

There was an initial problem with the ssl security, but they *fixed* it and now they're blaming my Zen Cart...
