can we add shipping option on shopping cart page

Is their is any module so that i can add
"shipping option on shopping cart page".

under admin->configuration->shipping you can add the shipping estimator.

It does not make logical sense to provide an option to choose shipping on the shopping cart page, because at that point in the shopping experience (procedure), the customer may not have concluded their product selections.

The PROGRESSION to checkout_shipping informs the system that the cart-filling procedure is now complete, and the system can now begin the NEXT phase, which is calculating and applying shipping - which MAY be governed also by the delivery destination, in addition to total items / total value / total weight.

Shipping is therefore based on the total CONSIGNMENT data - not on the shopping cart, which is simply an INDICATOR of what the customer has included in the intended consignment.

As SWGUY says, the SHIPPING ESTIMATOR can be embedded on the shopping cart screen, allowing the user to get a "snap-shot" of possible shipping costs at that particular point.
