    Default Log out 404 error

I had this message from a test purchaser:-

"The purchase completed normally, but the "log out" link at the top of the page gives me a 404 not found, and I remain logged in, so the "my account" link still takes me to my account. It's worth trying to find out what's going on and fixing it."

Not sure where to start looking for the cause of this one. Any pointers?

    Many thanks,
    Elly

Does anyone know which part of the software is activated when someone tries to log out from a zen cart?

If I know which files to look at, I can probably solve this error problem.

right-click on that "bad" logout link, and copy the URL ... then figure out what that URL is pointing to -- that will tell you where to look

The problem is the link, not the logout code.

go to Admin->Configuration->My Store->Missing Page Check, and set it to off. Then click on your logoff link again. What does the message change to now?

It goes to a blank page with the usual header & sidebars, with the following text:

    HEADING_TITLE
    TEXT_MAIN

It also doesn't log out from the customer account (they're still logged in)

That occurs when the files containing the expected text are missing, or are missing content, or are otherwise damaged.

Sounds like you need to do a thorough site inspection and figure out what files are missing from your site. http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.p...Obscure_Issues
