Attributes/Weight/Product Help

Hey, i had a good search online and via the forums but cant find any information on how to set this up.

Basically i think from what i read i need attributes if im right. I sell various products which id like a drop down category where you can select the weight.

I.e 50 gram, 100 gram, 125 gram, 250 gram, 500 gram ettc.

Any idea how to go about setting this up, i had a play around with attributes but never got anywhere with it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Attributes is what you want to use for that. I'd guess you'd want to price the product by attribute. What problems did you encouter when you 'had a play around' with attributes ?

Thanks for the reply.

I set up some attributes such as 50 gram, 100 gram, 125 gram etc.

Then went to setup a product and put price by attribute and there was no area to enter the different prices for 50 g, 100g or whatever weight attribute i needed for that product.

Ok ive managed to get abit further this time 2 problems. I want to just have unlimited quantities setting this to 0 in the 3 bits in the product setting up bit aswell as setting product qty mix/match to no doesnt work. It shows up as sold out.

When setting up the attributes it seems the weights are going in lbs instead of grams/kilograms. Any idea how to change this.
