    Default Text Alignment using Patriot Template

    Zen Cart v1.3.9h, Fresh Install

    If anybody is using the Patriot Template, I'm stumped on a text alignment issue that I hope somebody has resolved already.

    First, I LOVE this template! It's perfect for the site I am building. The only thing I can't figure out is how to get the text to align LEFT. You can see what I mean by going to:

    http://www.Obama2012TshirtShop.com

    Notice on the homepage that all text is aligned CENTER. Then when you click to either Login or Create An Account, those forms are also aligned in the CENTER of the page. In the default, classic skin, the account registration and login pages are aligned LEFT. Matter of fact, every page on my site has the text/copy aligned CENTER.

    I'm sure there's got to be an easy fix; perhaps changing/adding a line in the stylesheet...but I'll be damned if I can find it.

    Can SOMEBODY tell me how to fix this? Even if you don't lean towards my end of the political spectrum?

    Thanks in advance!

    Around line 398 in stylesheet-BU.css you have

    .centerColumn, #bannerOne, #bannerTwo, #bannerThree, #bannerFour, #bannerFive, #bannerSix {
    padding: 0.8em;
    text-align: center;
    }

    Remove .centerColumn

    Is this stylesheet-BU. part of the template? .... or something you have added?

    reason I ask is because ZC will load all stylesheets that are appropriately named XXXXXXXXXX.css .

    I see a LOT of duplication in that stylesheet with stuff in the main stylesheet.css

    If that BU stylesheet is an "experiment" css sheet, then rather name it to stylesheet-BU.BAK

    BTW... if I was an American citizen I would probably vote for Obama. I lived in South Africa during the transition years, and voted for Mandela - and what a good decision that was!

    Schoolboy, THAT DID IT! Thank You SO much Dude!

    The stylesheet-BU.css file you referred to was a backup of the stylesheet.css file. I always save the original with that extension; I had no idea that Zen Cart loaded ALL .css files! So you've educated me in TWO respects in one shot! I renamed it stylesheet.BAK - thanks to your advice.

    Take a look at my site now; the main text is aligned left on every page, and the banners at the bottom are still centered like they're supposed to be.

    Kudos to you...and if you ever make it to South Florida, we'll hook up; I owe you a beer!
