options, attributes problem

I have followed the zen ebook on this but I still cannot get it right
pages 179-186 in zen book. What I am trying to do is set a check box with each item for "Clock Oil". I have set the options name as Clock oil, Ihave set the value as Oil
then when I link it to the product, it shows the block, it shows the price but not what I entered, it is $3.00 less than what I set it at.I set the price as 7.50, but it shows on the page as $4.50 and I cannot understand why. Here is the link to the page if anyone has time to take a look

It is 40% off based on the Product Price being 40% off ...

If you do not want the 40% off on the Attribute, you need to edit the Attribute and mark it as:

Apply Discounts Used
by Product Special/Sale: NO

now I feel like a fool. But you was exactly right and now I am straight thru the rest of it. I guess that is why you are "Oba-san" and I am a follower. But again mamy tks for you help either thru here or thru the forum
