Hi Anne,
I have been working at this for way too long now. I some how got it to work on my site www.madaboutorganics.com this morning, but other parts of our site were not working with the new template. As I was trouble shooting the site I got the rest of the site to function properly but now for some strange reason the Social Networking Sidebar will not appear. I hope you or someone else on here can take a look at our site and help figure this out. I would greatly appreciate it.

You need to edit the javascript in includes/templates/override/common/tpl_main_page.php.

I have installed this but it then overwrites the homepage_layout_with_hover_effects any Idea how i can use both ?

You need to merge the changes for both modules to the includes/templates/your_template/common/tpl_main_page.php file.
