Hmmmm sorry for sounding silly but what parts would I need to merge from the tpl_main_page.php, sorry still trying to pick this up

Use a file comparison tool like beyond compare to figure out where the changes are. Start with your default tpl_main_page.php and add in the changes for the first module, then add the changes for the second module to the changed file.

I have installed this and I see the code pop up on the homepage of my website but the sidebar is not showing up. Can you look at the source code on the homepage and see if you can see a mistake?

On your home page the jquery library is being called twice.

Thanks for the reply Anne. I'm guessing I need to find a way to merge the two jquerries to get it to work on the homepage also. Maybe I will figure it out someday.

If only it was that simple, move it to the top and it disappears, otherwise I wouldn't ask Anne! A few months back there was a tutorial within the forum under one of your threads that offered advice on how to accomplish this on YOUR abbington template (the old one) not the newest one.
