Can`t login to admin

I have installed the zencart 1.3.9 to a server hosted by siteground.com and can see the demo site but when I try to access the admin page I get this error message.

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.


Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.


I have tried all my knowledge ables me to, of the help I could find, changed the name of the admin folder, downloaded the configure.php and changed the admin to new name. i have cleared cookies and checked that I enable cookies. I have tried alot! But nothing helps. I get this same message every time. I do not know how to access the error log... and I also found a tutorial to change the admin thaccess file but I can`t find it in my files...

I was so impressed with myselv that I actually managed to install the zencart without problems... but is I can`t login to admin then all was waste!

are you sure you are entering the correct url for the admin area?

Also if you have been editing your configure.php file in the admin folder you may of broken it, check it against the orginal that comes with the installation to make sure you havent removed a " or > and that all your paths and URLs are correct
