    For this define, you are using:
    Code:
      define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD', '/home/username/');
    what are you entering as the filename on the Attribute?

    The folder name then the name of the zip file. For example: downloads/file_name.zip.

    My thinking was this would allow for the store owner to have multiple manufacturers/designers that will upload each to their own folder and specify that at the beginning of their attribute file path. For example: designer1/file_name.zip or designer2/file_name.zip . That way they do not have access to the other designers files but just to their own specific folder.

    So you have the file:
    /home/username/downloads/file_name.zip
    /home/username/designer1/file_name.zip
    /home/username/designer2/file_name.zip

    on the server?

    do you have an .htaccess file in these directories?

    No I do not have the /home/username/designer1/file_name.zip and /home/username/designer2/file_name.zip on the server, but I do have the first one (/home/username/downloads/file_name.zip) on the server. I am just trying to get that one to work for now. If I can get that one to work, then I assume the other ones will work once the store owner gets to that point.

    What is .htaccess? Not sure on if I have .htaccess. Sorry.

    What are the permissions on the directory:
    /home/username/downloads

    what are the permissions on the file:
    /home/username/downloads/file_name.zip

    If you do not see the .htaccess in the directory:
    /home/username/downloads

    for the moment, we will assume that there isn't one ...

    Permissions on the downloads folder is 755 and 644 on the file on the file itself. I do see the .htaccess in the root directory. Sorry, I wasn't sure what you were referring to before.

    Are you looking for the .htaccess in the:
    /home/username/downloads/.htaccess

    If so, could you rename your file:
    /home/username/downloads/.htaccess_HIDE

    and put in the default .htaccess that should be there:
    Code:
    #
    # @copyright Copyright 2003-2010 Zen Cart Development Team
    # @license http://www.zen-cart.com/license/2_0.txt GNU Public License V2.0
    # @version $Id: .htaccess 16111 2010-04-29 22:39:02Z drbyte $
    #

    AuthType Basic
    AuthName "No access"
    AuthUserFile .htnopasswd
    AuthGroupFile /dev/null
    #Require valid-user

    ###############################
    #
    # This is used with Apache WebServers
    #
    # The following blocks direct HTTP requests to all filetypes in this directory recursively, except certain approved exceptions
    # It also prevents the ability of any scripts to run. No type of script, be it PHP, PERL or whatever, can normally be executed if ExecCGI is disabled.
    # Will also prevent people from seeing what is in the dir. and any sub-directories
    #
    # For this to work, you must include either 'All' or at least: 'Limit' and 'Indexes' parameters to the AllowOverride configuration in your apache/conf/httpd.conf file.
    # Additionally, if you want the added protection offered by the OPTIONS directive below, you'll need to add 'Options' to the AllowOverride list, if 'All' is not specified.
    # Example:
    #<Directory "/usr/local/apache/htdocs">
    #  AllowOverride Limit Options Indexes
    #</Directory>
    ###############################

    # deny *everything*
    <FilesMatch ".*">
      Order Allow,Deny
      Deny from all
    </FilesMatch>

    # but now allow just *certain* necessary files:
    <FilesMatch ".*\.(zip|ZIP|gzip|pdf|PDF|mp3|MP3|swf|SWF|wma|WMA)$">
      Order Allow,Deny
      Allow from all

      # tell all downloads to automatically be treated as "save as" instead of launching in an application directly
      # (just uncomment the next 2 lines by removing the '#'):
    #  ForceType application/octet-stream
    #  Header set Content-Disposition attachment
    </FilesMatch>

    IndexIgnore */*

    ## NOTE: If you want even greater security to prevent hackers from running scripts in this folder, uncomment the following line (if your hosting company will allow you to use OPTIONS):
    # OPTIONS -Indexes -ExecCGI
    Seriously consider using your Downloads directory as:
    /home/username/downloads

    and subdirectories as:
    /home/username/downloads/designer1

    and have your configure.php use:
    Code:
    define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD', '/home/username/downloads/');
    and enter the filenames in the
    /home/username/downloads
    file_name.zip

    and enter filenames in the
    /home/username/downloads/designer1

    designer1/file_name.zip
