I recently updated from 3.8 to 4.02 on 1.39d. everything went well, but I had a question about the htaccess rewrite rule. I have made a custom page names "shop" but is one of the rules it the htaccess. I simply deleted that entry and everything seems to work fine, but was there a reason the shop rule was put in there?

Hope you are having a good time there.

I have installed 4.0.2 on a brand new 1.3.9h so no core file merging was required. You'll find a link to my website at the bottom of this post.

Everything went perfect with installation check etc. I have also added re-write rule to .htaccess. When I set up a category or item's static URI I get the following error immediately after I hit "preview"

If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

I am just not that advanced to understand or apply what it says.

You need know the following, too:
I am trying to switch from my 12 year old bulky html website to 1.3.9h "showcase only" (cherry_zen). At the moment both index.html and index.php are on the server so that visitors can still view the old website. I am not done with the zen version.
I will remove index.html as soon as I am done.

Server OS: Linux 2.6.18-194.11.4.el5
PHP Version: 5.2.13 (Zend: 2.2.0)
PHP Memory Limit: 64M
Database: MySQL 5.0.92-community-log
HTTP Server: Apache
PHP Safe Mode: Off

I had to turn URI Mapping OFF because of the table error above. It still gives me the tickbox option in admin product and categories though. Also I removed rewrite rules from .htaccess since it eliminated my currently working index.html. I need 2-3 more days to finish my zen catalog and launch the new version. Until then I definitely need my old website up and running.

Hello Conor,

I had been useing your add-on Uri Mapping with my zencart 1.3.8a for quite a while.

A few days ago my server was upgraded to 5.3. Since than i can not add products to my shopping cart if the Ceon module is started. When i shut down the module the cart works perfectly.

I had been looked for an upgrade but as i see you made - the module compatible with php 5.3 only for zencart 1.3.9.

Is there a work around my problem?

Just letting people know that you had simply thought that 1.3.8a wasn't supported in the latest version, which you now know it is. :)

You're attempting to use the UMM edition of the software without UMM.. I'll get in contact privately to discuss how to sort this out.

About the UMM; this was what exactly I was thinking. I just didn't it since I only had 78 products.

I'm afraid your English isn't so good in the formation of this question and as such I can't quite follow you.

What is "a custom page names shop"? And what is "but is one of the rules it the htaccess" meant to mean??!

lol I'm afraid I have to make it even worse.. I fell seriously ill half an hour before the dinner was about to be served in the wedding I'd flown over a thousand miles to get to and am only able to answer this post on a temporary break from hospital.

lol I will say that one thing that is good about French hospitals is that they give you a wee pack with a DVD of your brain scans when you leave.. feels like good value for money! ;)

Going to have a wee play with Zen Cart 1.5.0beta before I go back into hospital here in Ireland (no free DVDs here but at least you don't have to pay for hospital! ;) ), maybe get a new version of Ceon URI Mapping out for 1.5.0beta too.. watch this space.
