    Hi All

    Any help on this would be greatly apreciated

    OK I need to change prices from trade price which are uploaded via easy populate but the price structure (increase) needs to be for example

    ..£0.00-£10.00 100% £11.00-50.00 40 % £51.00-£100.00 35% etc ..... Please point me in right direction lol for an sql patch ? or exel/open office calc

    formula

    I will continue to read open office help files while i wait lol

    Thanks

    You could do this via SQL, or EP and OO.

    Here's the OO method

    All you need do in OO, is SORT the datasheet by the price column.

    To the RIGHT of the price column, inster TWO additional columns (they will be temporary)

    Then, as the prices are in ascending order (smallest to largest, your first price will be in the range that require 100% markup.

    In the first cell to the RIGHT of your first price (let's say it's G1), try the following formula:

    =(F1*2) (where "F1" is the NAME of the cell where your first price is appearing). Hit <ENTER> button to escape from the G1 cell. The result will be the value in F1 multiplied by 2 (or F1 plus 100%).

    Now, click one on G1 and COPY the cell.

    Highlight all relevant cells below it until you reach the last of the prices in col F to which 100% markup apply.

    use "PASTE" to formulate those cells. Hit <ENTER>

    Now, Highlight ALL of Column G

    Put cursor into H1.

    RIGHT CLICK and select "Paste Special"

    Uncheck ALL value options, except NUMBER and then paste

    Repeat for your other price ranges, using appropriate formulae to calculate markup.

    50% is (CELL*1.5)
    35% is (CELL*1.35)

    Now... in column G you have the formulas, which you no longer need.

    In column H you have the pasted numerical values.

    Save the sheet (as a BACKUP!!!!)

    Then SAVE AS (new filename).

    Take v_products_price header out of F column header and put it in H column header.

    DELETE columns F and G. (ie: get rid of the entire column, not just the cell contents.

    Strait forward enough, I was not getting very far with the site wide markup mod didnt seem to work apart from an overall percentage markup

    I have something to do tonight now lol also looks easy enough to do sql after i looked at syntax

    this is all an area i have not had any time for but all good fun

    Your SQL could look something like:

    Code:
    UPDATE products SET products_price = products_price * 2 where products_price BETWEEN 0 AND 10.99;

    Code:
    UPDATE products SET products_price = products_price * 1.4 where products_price BETWEEN 11.00 AND 50.99;

    Code:
    UPDATE products SET products_price = products_price * 1.35 where products_price BETWEEN 51.00 AND 99.99;
    These can be run through ADMIN >>> TOOLS >>> INSERT SQL PATCHES...

    ... AFTER YOU BACKUP YOUR DATABASE !!!
