    Default IE7, Sessions and Alignment

I'm using the latest version, installed the MOD to place the cart contents in the header instead of sidebar and using default template.

When viewing pages in IE7, pages align to the left instead of center as in all other browsers and only in IE7 the contents added to the cart are no longer there whenever I change pages.

    Any idea what's wrong?

    Thanks,
    Sam Hughey

Default Re: Session lost when clicking on pages from https to http under IE

It happens only in IE7 even when it isn't switching from http to https. I'm using the MOD which puts the cart contents in the header. Also, even after adding an item to the cart, when I add another item to the cart the previous item is removed. When viewing the cart, all contents are removed.

    Perplexing. Any ideas or suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Sam

If this is the reformedreader site, it looks exactly the same to me in all browsers and has some serious display problems. If not, we'll need a link.

    stevesh,

Thanks for the response. It isn't for the Reformed Reader site. It's on hold for now which is why it still has some problems. I just haven't corrected them yet.

It's for another site, http://www.southwoodsbookstore.org/i...e=index&cPath=. I've just begun and still have a lot of clean-up so ignore some of the pages which don't look good just yet. Once I get these 'little' problems corrected I can proceed to putting everything in order.

    Thanks,
    Sam

    stevesh,

Just had a brain storm (small one) and I found out what I had set incorrectly in my privacy option in IE. The cart is keeping the contents now as it should. The only problem I'm having now is everything is aligned to the left in the browser window in IE7 instead of the center of the browser window as in all other browsers. I've checked everything in my CSS and can't find a solution there. I would greatly appreciate any criticism you can offer.

    Thanks,
    Sam

Perhaps fixing the validation problems will cure your IE woes.

    Kim,

I agree but I really wasn't all that concerned with the home page just yet. I know it has code errors and I will correct all that when I finally decide on how I want it to look. What's there now is just something to be there. Do you really think those code errors are causing all pages to align to the left instead of center only for IE7?

    Thanks,
    Sam
