Not charge card at time of purchase if out of stock

Have cherry zen cart, sometimes we are out of stock or there is a new item coming out and we want to have it on the website, but do not want to charge card until item comes in, if there a feature so that the card IS NOT CHARGED when the customers completes the order????? so that we can charge the card once the item comes it.

AS of now the card is automatically charged when the sale is completed

That's a feature of your payment module. Some, such as Ceon's Sage Pay modules, allow you to specify whether payment should be captured at the time of the order, or when it's processed.

Technically it should always be the latter her in the UK. But it requires both payment module and payment gateway to support it.
