Free shipping/coupon conflict. Please help!

I set up some coupon codes on my site, along with an option for free shipping if the total exceeds $99.99.

For some reason the free shipping option still appears if the customer uses a discount code on an order that qualifies for free shipping, even if the new total after the code is well below $99.99.

I checked all the config options and don't see any way of fixing this other than I guess re-coding the shipping module. Anyone have any ideas?

Specifically, how do you have things setup to offer Free Shipping on orders over $99.00 ...

Is this with the Free Shipping Options freeoptions shipping module or on the Order Totals module for Shipping ot_shipping ...

We are using the freeoptions module, configured to give free shipping to any orders >=99.99.

I'm guessing the ot_shipping is what we need, if it does what it sounds like it does and calculates the shipping based on the total after any discount codes. If so, where can I download it?

The Free Shipping Option freeoptions shows with other shipping modules based on the conditions set ...

Free shipping based on Order Total in the Shipping ot_shipping is based on the Order Total setting for Orders over a given amount ...

Neither are determined by the Discount Coupon ...

If you have these set to control shipping and a Discount Coupon is used for Free Shipping on orders over a certain amount you are more or less confusing things as the Free shipping is already offered on the Free Shipping Option freeoptions and then on the Order Total module for the Shipping ot_shipping and then if someone adds the Discount Coupon it is offered again ...

I would pick one method rather than all 3 for this ...

OK, I just checked the order total modules for the first time (never saw them there haha), and ot_shipping is set NOT to allow free shipping over a certain amount. Only freeoptions is configured to offer the free shipping.

What's happening is the freeoptions offers the free shipping for an order of $99.99, then the customer puts in a discount code (the code itself does not offer free shipping) which brings the order down to $79.99--too low for free shipping--but he still gets the free shipping because he has already accepted it.

Is there any way to have the customer input the discount code before they choose a shipping method, or to retroactively remove the free option if the discount code eventually puts the order under the $99.99 threshold?

I am also encountering this issue. The reason is because ot_shipping which calls the freeoptions module is using the show_total function on the cart session. The coupon code is not deducted until AFTER shipping is already calculated.

Any ideas how to get around this?

Free shipping on orders over $XX.XX that is set with the Modules ... Order Totals ... Shipping ot_shipping does not use any of the shipping modules ...

I am having the same problem. I have tried both OT Shipping and Shipping Freeshipper.

My client offers free shipping for orders over $50 and he has a range of coupons. If order total after coupon is under $50 he doesn't want to allow Free Shipping.

Is there a solution?
