How to create NEW ADMIN

i got locked out of my admin site. monthes ago...

i must have done something wrong.
i tried resending password to myself and followed the tutorial on how to chance password on php.
as i am not that good with programming and what not, i think the easiest thing to do is to create another admin.

can someone please show me how to create a new admin?

There is no such thing as "another admin". You need to find out what has happened to yours and fix it. This might involve re-uploading admin files or folders from a fresh set - be aware that this would require reconfiguring /admin/includes/configure.php if you replace it. What admin files might you have edited or replaced with mod files?

after trying everything to my knowledge, nothing seems to work.
i thought maybe there is a way to just create 1 more admin so that i can access the admin control panel.

if there is no way to create a second admin, then i have no choice but to restart everything from scratch, losing monthes of work....

So you mean to create a second admin user for your current control panel, not a new admin control panel? That is easily done from inside admin, but to do it from the database requires knowing the md5 hash of the proposed password - which is essentially impossible. If you can do the steps that would be needed for that, you can renew the basic admin account accurately.

The advice DrByte gave you in that thread was important; have you tried it again? You also need to make sure you are using the correct admin folder name in the select. You should have renamed the admin folder to something secret that only you know.

The tutorial you were pointed to does exactly that: creates a new admin user.
That IS the solution you seek.
