Help Please!!!

I am currently using Zencart v1.3.9h

I have uploaded all the customer's product photos, text etc and it all seems to be working well.

Two Problems I cant figure out:
I can create a "walk in" order and it works just fine, enters the customer information, creates an order # etc. But when I try to make a PayPal purchase, it takes me to PayPal, charges my account but doesnt clarify what Im purchasing and does not create an order number.
In addition to the above, it does not email me or the customer with the order information. When I try to email using the "contact us" email, nothing comes through. I try emailing a newsletter and nothing happens.

Im new to this and its very frustrating. I have a customer wanting their site up and I cant seem to come through. The email and PayPal seem to be the biggest problems.

Can someone PLEASE help me!?????

First check that Admin - Configuration - Email Options - Send Emails is set to True.

What Paypal module ? If you aren't using Paypal Express, you should be.

Are the API username, password and signature items that only business accounts have???
