How can i let the customer know?

Hy there, i wanted to ask you something about auto printing my emails from an account. Here is the thing, i'm gonna get orders from customers on my address from my site BUT if my internet connection doesn't work in that day, how can I let the customer know about this problem through an email?

On my site users will order some products. Their order will be printed out by my printer with thunderbird - autoprint. But if my internet connection doesn't work that day can I let the user know his order wasn't printed?

The order(s) will still be in your store's admin. It's a good idea to compare the printed orders with that day's orders in admin, anyway.

I'm gonna use outlook 2007 for automatic prints. Works great and you can refresh your mail every 1 min.
