Version 1.3.9
I spent days installing Zencart because I had some specific requirements and had to make numerous changes and some sizing and graphic modifications.
But the thing I found lacking was a consistent and confident answer to the question, "How do I enlarge my product popup images.
The answer is quite simple. I followed the instructions in the Zencart tutorial to upload images at the size that I wish via FTP (greater than 600 px width). If the original pic is smaller, I enlarge it with other software prior to upload. The Zencart software takes care of the rest.
I simply added an empty directory called "whatever you want" to the images directory and upload all pics to that folder. When I add a product, I add the original pic to that directory with a unique starting name, (I use unique, sequential stock numbers 1000_ , 1001_, etc) and I ftp the additional pics to that same folder with 1000_1, 1000_2, 1000_3, etc for as many as I wish and they all show up in the product info window.
Since the image is large to begin with, my "larger image" popup enlarges from the small pic to the original size.
I spent months searching for a user friendly (.....HMMMM it takes work) commerce solution for used RV sales and Zencart gets the blue ribbon for being the best.
I hope this saves you the endless hours that I spent trying to navigate the software to make changes to accomplish my goal. The software is superbly weaved and it can be destructive to hack a few lines when there are other easier solutions available.
Best Regards to the folks at Zencart
