Zone Rates Module causes blank Checkout

Hi. Can someone help me a problem that I have encountered while setting up zencart (v1.3.9) regarding the zone rates module causing the checkout to go ‘blank’.

The Problem - If I enable the Zone Rates Module the checkout goes blank – not so for other modules such as flat rate (zone rates seems to be calculating totals just fine up until that point).

Experience - I am close to a newbie on Zen and other such matters as makes sense so please be kind in replies.

Some background…I used my web server’s install program and I don’t think that it captured a zone where the shop physically resides, I have since added a zone and set it in the ‘My Store’ (South Africa; Cape Town; ZA).

I have entered the 2 english.php files and the zones.php and amended lb and lb(s) to kgs (I used Dreamweaver CS4). I have however ran virgin copies of these files against the amended copies in winmerge and the only deviations were those that I made (all other syntax seemed fine but I can post if this helps). I have checked the cache log of the issue and it states “[03-Aug-2011 19:20:03] PHP Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/sbjewell/public_html/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/zones.php:59) in /home/sbjewell/public_html/includes/functions/functions_general.php on line 45”. I also compared functions_general.php through winmerge but no deviations.

My gut feeling is that it is the site’s zone that is causing the issue rather than a destination zone issue but I am stumped as to what to do next? Even if I install the zone rates but attempt to checkout via ‘Store Pickup’ the problem persists.

One other avenue I thought I could explore was to upload a different (3rd party) zone rates module but I can’t find a free one (try googling “free shipping module” etc and all returns refer to “free shipping” ). I thought that this may confirm if it was the site’s zone was the issue.

Anyone have any ideas – at present all checkouts are impaired. Thanking in advance…

Fix the problem you've got on line 59 of that file.

Dr Byte - U r a star!!!

I have been struggling to see the tree for the forest - I went to line 59 previously and there was nothing there - but that turned out to be the problem. Somehow, the code had gotten an extra line (enter button) after the end of the php code - removed it and it all came together.

I was expecting a larger problem so went looking for 1.
