How do I block IP addresses in htaccess?

I can not find the .HTaccess file on my server, can someone explain how to add the file. I have a list of data to add to file to block countries, but no file

I would recommend contacting your host for that information.. Depending on various of issues no one can tell you how the server or your account is configured. Your host support would be able to tell you right away and give you guidance and get you on the right track.
