Row Image Background

There are two things I'd like to learn about in this post.

On the main product page, the number of product images on each row can be adjusted, but how? Then, each of the product image placement [FONT=Fixedsys]containers[/FONT]? Can individual background images be put in them behind each product image and how?

1. How to adjust number of product images on main page per row?
2. How to place an individual background image unique to each product image?

All I see there are new products

.centerBoxContentsNew in the style sheet and you can create a properly sized image and apply it as a background image through the css
