Custom Stylesheet not loading

This is my first attempt at using Zencart and I am just implementing a header from an existing website to so the shop matches the rest of the site.

I have pasted my HTML in the tpl_header.php file and uploaded to my CUSTOM template folder and all appears to load well.

I wanted the styles for this head to be on a separate stylesheet, so I uploaded my customstyles.css to my CUSTOM/css folder but these styles for the header don't seem to be loading?

I thought any styles dropped in the CUSTOM/css would automatically load? The styles are very specific so shouldn't be conflicting with any in the standard stylesheet.css.

Any help would be much appreaciated.

Rename the file from customstyles.css to styles_xxxxxxx.css (replace xxxxxx with whatever you wish), and then it will be automatically loaded.
