"page cannot be found" ... new install

Ive uploaded dozens of zencart shops over the years without any problems, however im unable to get the latest version to work. ive used filezilla to upload the files to my site, changed the configure files and the necessary files to 777 opened my browser and typed in mydomain/new/zc_install and i get page cannot be found......

what could be causing this?

Are you sure that you have files at

mydomain/new/zc_install

Hello. I can confirm that the file contains all demo/includes/sql folders and the 6 seperate files.

in addition to this. mydomain already runs zencart, so the /new is going to be the new site. I dont see this being a problem as i did this before with a /catalogue and a /shop during previous upgrades.

must be something on mydomain as i just uploaded 1.3.9h to my other domain but named it /catalogue and it worked first time

Are they both hosted in the same place on the same type of server?
