Need help with Category Page

I'm very new to Zen, a Miva convert. I'm setting up my first Zen store.
I cannot get my cat page to look like I would want it. Hours of searching have produced other answers but not these.

1) How can I left justify the product description on the cat page?
2) How can I remove the inventory quantity on the cat page?
3) How can I truncate the product description on the cat page and have it end with ...more?
4) How can I place lines between each product?

I've looked at templats and CSS and can't find these answers.

v 1.3.9h right out of the box except to rollback some files to 1.3.9g to solve bugs as host is just short of proper php version.

The left justification still doesn't work. I added it to the stylesheet. Is there anything that would be overriding this.
