Default Update all products via database?

    Good morning,
I did a search but couldn't find what I was looking for so I apologize if it has been asked before. I have a new bearing company thepartsshoppe.com and carry ceramic bearing for most bicycle wheels.

Here's the issue, 98% of the higher end bicycle wheels (right now I have 440 wheels supported) use only about 15 different bearings and combinations thereof. When I have a price change, I am going through one by one and updating. I have used Apsona and it has helped but am looking for an even better solution such as placing these 15 different bearings somewhere (in a database?) each with a price. Then, if I update the price here, it drives the prices of all of the bearings that use that bearing number.

Hope this makes sense as I am in need of refurbishing the pricing right now. Is there a good solution?
    Thanks in advance!
    Rick

There's not an out-of-the-box solution, but as long as there's a way to tell which prices are to be linked to which products, it can be done with a simple database table and one or two database queries (i.e. you might need a second if you ever put these products on special).

But this isn't an easy one to advise about over the forum as it would need somebody with DBS skills to look at how your product data links together.

"Product Data Links together" - right now, standard out of the box Zen-cart. I just entered the products in one by one. Nothing linked together. Hope this helps clarify.

Zen Cart out of the box knows nothing about which bearings belong to which wheels and how that impacts your pricing. That's very specific to your store.
