Trouble renaming my zc_admin folder

I did an install using Fantastico on Hostgator.
I tried to rename my admin folder and can't access it.
I have used this tutorial, https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=33
So this is what happens.
I rename the zc_admin folder to my new name.
I go into my zc_admin/includes config php file and rename the 3 spots per the tutorial and numerous threads, ex. http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showth...+folder&page=4
I then try to login to my admin page and get a 404 error.
I went back and returned all modifications to original and am able to login.
I have tried clearing the cache but it doesn't work.
Is there somewhere else I should modify, some url direct that will tell my browser where to go?

That's all you have to do in Zen Cart, there are no additional redirects. But I can't speak for your hostgator account generally.

But here's a thought. After you edited your configure file you checked with the new name and it didn't work. Did you try the old name? If so, what happened then?

I just figured it out, after about 6 hours.
I was using my bookmarked login address.
I finally tried deleting the file from my host and re-uploading it. I got the same error. I then realized I was trying to access it through my old URL. I put in the new file name, directly, into the URL bar. I reloaded the page and Viola, it loaded the login page.
Deleting the file was probably not necessary, re-bookmarking it or at least telling the browser directly where to go was.
