Ultimate SEO URLs 403 Error

Hello,

Having used OScommerce for many years, I'm now trying out ZC.

I have installed ZC 1.3.9h and I have a problem installing Ultimate SEO URLs.

The front page loads fine and I can see the new SEO links when I hover over them e.g. /software-c-2.html

However, when I click on a link, I get an error message:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /index.php on this server.
Apache/2 Server at XX.XXX.XX.XX Port 80

The website works with Ultimate SEO URLs set to false.

I have been stuck on this for days. Is anyone able to help?

Ultimate SEO URLs: Version: 2.110
PHP: 5.3
