    Default Moving ZenCart

I recently installed ZC to a "working" folder to get a site ready for launch. Everything was set up and functioning perfectly. Now I have the addon domain under the same hosting account and I am trying to copy everything as was to its' new folder.

I installed ZC to the new folder, linked to the same database as the original, copied all files over to the new folder (overwriting originals), and made adjustments to the paths in the admin/includes/configure.php & includes/configure.php files.

The site and admin gui is running but I have lost all products, ezpages settings, and other misc settings.

What (if anything) can I do?

Sounds like it's still pointing to the old database, which means you haven't updated the DB_XXXXX settings in your configure.php files

Thats the idea. I want my new ZC to use the same database I built before with all of my products and settings intact.

Okay, if your last post somehow means you've still not resolved your "problem", then I guess I'm not fully understanding what *exactly* you're wanting to do or why, let alone what you *have* done already.

I dont know how to make it any more simple.

    * I had zc installed to a temp folder until it was ready for launch.

    * Now I have a domain folder for it and have installed zc there.

    * upon install, I directed it to use the same db as before

    * I copied all files from the temp folder and overwrote existing files.

    * Then, I went into both config.php files and changed all paths as necessary.

Now the site and admin is running as before but all of my products and settings are gone.

If your store and admin are showing the wrong (or none) products/settings, then your DB_XXXXXX settings are pointing to the wrong database.

I dont get it. The db name, user and pass never changed. I used the same info when i installed zc to he new folder.

I've looked over both of the configure.php files but dont see any errors. They are attached if that helps any. The dbXXX paths are still listed as the original db info.

You have 2 stores, right? In 2 different databases? And in one store you have the products you expect, and in the other you don't, right?

    Problem Solved.

It seems there was an error upon transferring my account to a dedicated ip and the database was lost. I had them restore it to a few days back. Still some stuff that has to be redone but glad I dont have to redo it all.

    Thanks
