template_selection.php doesn't load

Hello,

I am using Zen Cart 1.3.9h, freshly installed, no addons or anything. I am trying to make a custom template so I followed the instructions on this page. However, since I did this, when template_selection.php in the admin panel does not load, I just get a white page. I cannot select my template. If I remove the folder, it works again. What's happening?

Check your template_info.php file for coding errors.

Yeah apparently your template name can't have an apostrophe in it because the code thinks it's a quote. Thanks for helping

I switched to the template in admin panel but now my whole site is blank. Do I need to copy more files in from somewhere?

If your whole site is blank, you've screwed up the coding somewhere in the template files that you created.

I did not create any template files, I just made the folder, copied some files from the other template and switched to it... did I miss something?

What's the error message recorded in the /cache/myDebug-xxxx log files?

Did you edit any of the files? If so, there's a coding syntax error somewhere. That is almost always the cause of a completely blank page.

I didn't edit anything, the normal template works fine but when I copy the files as instructed and switch to that template, the page is blank.

Okay, that helped actually, I made the same mistake twice.
