Too many items in cart? Or is it too many attributes?

I have a problem with shopping cart when shopper puts too many items that have multiple attributes. I am running 1.39h and I have products with as many as 10 different attributes per product.

Right now, when customer or myself, for that matter, enters the eighth item, the cart first goes out of alignment to the template and then if you select checkout, the page just goes blank and that's it, no checkout.

I have attached a couple of screen captures to demonstrate.

I have this issue with all of this type of product and I cannot afford to limit my cart contents....can someone help?

The load on the server is high ...

You might talk to your hosting provider about moving your site to a less loaded server ...

There can be other factors but the first is the load on the server ...

Can you turn on your parse times?
