Multiple Images not Displaying

I would still class myself as a noob, and although the FAQs and forum have provided me with loads already, I am having an issue with multiple images not displaying for products.
I am currently on v1.3.9.f (planning to upgrade v soon), and have multiple images enabled, but I never get to see the alternate images. I have named the first image R2714X.jpg, and subsequent images follow with _01, _02.jpg etc... Corresponding LRG images have been FTP'd up to the Large folder.

I am sure I have followed the guidelines and tutorials, but must be doing something wrong (probably a schoolboy error!). Any ideas on what I can do. I have changed templates, but still no extra images show.
If I turn off multiple images the displayed page shifts up slightly, as if there is something there, but hidden when multiple images are turned on.

Have you tried uploading in the same location as original image?

Yes, I have uploaded all base images to the images folder (I also have tried a subdirectory), and have then uploaded the LRG images to the corresponding large folder.
Image names are:
R2714X.jpg - Original image that can be seen
R2714X_01.jpg - additional images
R2714X_02.jpg

I see that your R2714X_01_LRG.jpg is up but R2714X_02_LRG.jpg does not show up.
I can't think of why they don't show the additional images though.

You appear to be using Image Handler ...

What happens if you turn that off?

I see in the View Source all of the images that should be showing ...

Try replacing the additional images file with the stock zencart one, and see if that works. you seem to be using the classic template

Yes He has Image handler installed, but it is a fairly old version of Image handler that was designer for 1.3.7 or 1.3.8 from what i can see on the site,

You can download version 3 from this site which should work fine

Thanks for the replies. I have tried replacing the code with the stock ZenCart one, but still nothing showing. However, one bit of progress is that if I use the 'ZenCart jQuery Silver' template then I can see the additional images, but this is the only template that it works with. To be honest I was not aware that I was using Image Handler (not really used the module), so not sure how turn it off.

I also see in the source that the images are referenced, so I must have done something to the template that doesn't show the images. I am almost thinking of sprucing things up, so that at the same time basing it on the template that works with the images.
Could be a busy few days coming up...
