Newsletter problem?

After sending out the most recent newsletter, the accountant at my company received a copy of every email sent out. Apparently people who had already unsubscribed from the newsletter were also getting copies. Anyone know what might be causing this?

Zen Cart 1.3.8a

That version is no longer supported but as far as news letters I do not believe that there has been any major change

I do not see where a copy is mailed or a switch/setting to do so
