manufacturer heading

Hi all, I am trying to change the color and background color of the manufacturer heading and sidebox. The heading is a label but when I change this to colour I want in the css it changes elsewhere which I do not want. Hope to hear. Thanks

Exactly what style rules are you using to make your changes? You can limit the effect to one sidebox by using its id in the rule selector. Seeing your site live would allow us to give complete, correct advice.

I am in the sideboxes/tpl_manufacturers_select.php file at the moment and have made a few changes that has given the effect you can see but mainly just want to change the text color of the heading, shouldn't be this tricky, I appreciate any help, thanks. (oh and any feedback on site too, cheers!.)

There are no sideboxes visible while you are down for maintenance. There should be no need to edit the PHP file at all if you just want to change colors, fonts, etc. All of that can and should be done in the stylesheet.

I know but have tried CSS and put in different divs to get around it but nothing. seems manufacturer heading is seen as label and thus the label seems to have just one setting in this case??

You can control it with CSS alone, but I need to see it (out of maintenance mode) to advise the correct rules.

Hi,
I have installed zencart just two days back and i am stuck in the very first thing.
I want to have the manufacturers box visible but it is not happening. I have tried the tools->layout box controller. But any change is not visible.
Also how do i display my products in row/column format in the home page?

Hi have you any data in the manufacturer table? Look at Maximum values under Config. you need to install mod to get your products displaying in column grid layout see here http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...products_id=77

where is the Config file located?
I am also considering installing a template instead of changing the classic one. Will it be a good idea?
