Default date_diff error with version 3.9f

I've just tried to log into my stores admin and can't.

Reading the debug info from the cache I find that it relates to trying to re-declare dated_diff in general.php

I am running version 3.9f and my host has recently upgraded to php5.3

Everything I read on these forums say's that this should be okay.

The stores front end works fine.

I really would appreciate any advice.

    Thanks

Evidently you've got files on your server that aren't truly updated to v1.3.9, which is when the date_diff() function in Zen Cart was renamed to avoid clashes with PHP5 changes.

Time to do a compare of all your files and clean up whatever's not correct. http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.p...Obscure_Issues

Wouldn't hurt to finish your upgrade to the latest version while you're at it.

That doesn't preclude the possibility that you've installed an old addon that changed core files or which added its own improperly-named function which is causing the error.

Fair comment, I'm already in the process of downloading the entire site so that I can follow the process outlined in the thread you posted.

I suppose I was just trying to avoid having to go through the whole upgrade process at the moment as the site (admin) is down till I sort it and my Internet connection is painfully slow.

Thank you for your help, even if it wasn't what I wanted to hear

The upgrade from 1.3.9f to 1.3.9h is just a matter of replacing the files that were changed from f-to-g and g-to-h (unless of course you've altered those rarely-touched core files). The filenames are listed in the changelogs in the /docs/ folder.
