USPS Module Not Working

You show a missing function from Marco's version of Zen Cart but you are showing an image from a different version of Zen Cart ...

You need to see if you have mixed up the files and what is actually installed for USPS on your server ...

Make sure that you have no backup or renamed files on the shipping modules in the directory:
/includes/modules/shipping

and that the files in the directory:
/includes/modules/shipping

are the code files and the files in the language directory:
/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping

are the language files ...

The image of our settings is from the usps module that ships with zen cart. When using Marco's version I used the exact same settings with none of the extra options set that Marco's version offers.

I also am very sure that I have not mixed up the files when I try each version, and there are no extra/backup files in any directories.

The strange thing is that this started happening without making any changes to any files or the database, so when this problem arose it was not related to doing any updates or changes to any files whatsoever.

I'm totally stumped.... I almost wonder if something with Hostgator's server changed that could be doing this.

Also when trying Marco's version I also made sure to upload the language file as well.

Which USPS module are you using ... the January 2, 2011 version C or Marco's USPS shipping module?

Last night I installed a fresh install of the latest cart, and tried the usps module that ships first. Then, I installed the January 2, 2011 version C module into that fresh install. Both did not work for me and just returned the message "there are no available shipping options."

Then I tried Marco's version on a fresh install and ran in to the same PHP error as before where it says "Fatal error: Call to a member function getName() on a non-object.....".

On all 3 of the versions of the module, I also tried changing around the settings for shipping like the taxes etc. and set the sort order to "1" instead of "0", and none of those changes made any difference for me. I also double checked our shipping info for the store to make sure our address, country, etc. was valid and everything is set up correctly there.

I am going to try installing on my localhost now and see if that makes any difference... I'll post the results when I'm done.

Just as a test, what happens if you install the UPS shipping module, do you get quotes?

NOTE: set it up will all methods selected ...

I just tried the UPS module, that one works just fine.
