    Default I need help, Express checkout will not work, I've tried everything

    Hey guys and gals,
    I am using 1.3.9h, I have never updated, installed fresh.
    I had web payments pro working but it would not send back the orders so after doing some reading, everyone said to use Express Checkout. I have put in all the correct PAYPAL IPN information 3 times, I have tried sandbox, does not work. I also have made sure the button was set to "on" as stated in other posts. I keep getting the error:
    An error occurred when we tried to contact the payment processor. Please try again, select an alternate payment method, or contact the store owner for assistance. () - (7) couldn't connect to host.

    What am I doing wrong, none of the threads I have read give a real idea of what to do, everyone just says, hey that didn't work but I fixed it and never puts how, it just kills me.

    Please HELP!!!

    Well, nevermind, I just fixed it, just realized the setting for the cURL never took to "false", yeah, im on godaddy unfortunatly.

    It seems several folks have all had this same issue, around the same time--my cart inexplicably stopped working, throwing the same error (7). WTF is going on?

    I'm on GoDaddy too, and I changed the cURL proxy status to false--seems to work, but not as elegantly as before. Does anyone know what the real issue is?

    CURL Proxy Status MUST BE SET TO FALSE!!!!!!
    The only reason it was ever set to true was because GoDaddy required it in order to work until about 2 years ago. Since then that setting has been obsolete and must be set to false. More info: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=61528

    As to "not as elegantly as before", that doesn't make any sense, given that if the setting was set to true, then nothing worked, and set to false transactions could work again.

    As far as "what the real issue is", most people would agree with me that it's your host.
