Add text to description of certain products

I have text that I want to add to product descriptions in certain categories. I can do this by adding the text for each individual product (too cumbersome), or,

I can create a conditional that will place the text in products in the correct categories, or,

Is there an add-on that will allow me to do this by creating an extra field that can be filled in in only the products I want?

From "Personalize your journal(s) to the attributes is the text to place.
