That tells me you do not have the USPS January 2, 2011 C version installed ...

Please go to Module ... Shipping ...

1 click on USPS and save your current settings to NotePad ...

2 click on REMOVE

3 get the current file from post #26 of:
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=171314

4 FTP the file in it usps.php to the directory:
/includes/modules/shipping/usps.php

5 Install the new USPS shipping module

6 Configure it with your settings

Now see if it works better ...

As a test, then go to the Tools ... Developers Tool Kit ... and in the bottom input box enter:
USPS GXG Envelopes

Select Catalog from the dropdown and click Search ...

What comes up now?

after uploading the new usps.com, this is the error i get in checkout_shipping screen

"-2147219080 - Missing value for Country."

REMOVE
INSTALL
and reconfigure?

Did you try the search in the Tools ... Developers Tool Kit ... to confirm the shipping module is correct on a search for:
USPS GXG Envelopes

i did remove, then upload the new file, install, and set the new settings and saved them ....

also btw this is on 1.3.7

i've tried to install 1.3.9 but i get "session expired" error ...

Go to your Modules ... Shipping ... and click on USPS and do the following:

1 REMOVE

2 Go to your FTP program and go to the directory:
/includes/modules/shipping

and delete the file:
/includes/modules/shipping/usps.php

3 Go to the following thread and from post #26 download the January 2, 2011 C version of USPS:

4 unzip the file and using FTP copy the file:
usps.php

to the directory:
/includes/modules/shipping

so you see the new file:
/includes/modules/shipping/usps.php

on the server ...

Go to the Tools ... Developers Tool Kit ... and in the bottom input box enter:
USPS GXG Envelopes

Now what do you see?

none of this is working with 1.37 ... i am trying to get 1.39 to work, but it gives me an error in estimate shipping -

Whoops! Your session has expired ... Please update your shopping cart for Shipping Quote ...

please help ...
